As a natural evolution of the Admiral collection that are inspired from the fascinating world of maritime exploration, Corum now boldly ventures forth by introducing ceramic elements into these iconic watches for the first time with the aim to showcase the brand&rsquo;s commitment to blending watchmaking tradition with contemporary craftsmanship and create unforgettable timepieces that exude elegance and innovation. Even so, the new watches share features emblematic of the Admiral collection that pay homage to the brand&rsquo;s maritime heritage. Among them include the famous dodecagonal case as well as the dial which features nautical pennants acting as indices.&nbsp;
The new additions to the collection epitomise sophistication, especially in the Ceramic &amp; Gold models, which beautifully combine classic luxury with cutting-edge technology. These watches pay tribute to the dynamic urban culture found at the world's busiest ports and furthers Corum&rsquo;s commitment to always create timepieces that showcase innovative design.

Corum Admiral 42

This time, Corum's latest timepieces are a bold marriage of materials, boldly combining ceramic and 18K 5N gold. This elegant creation not only showcases Corum's daring approach but also adds an air of nobility to the wrist. Launching in two captivating versions, the watch features either black (A395/04451) or white (A395/04460) cases and matching vulcanised rubber straps. Meant to create a striking impression, the gold accents on the hands and indices introduce a distinct touch of refinement, resulting in a visual masterpiece sure to captivate watch enthusiasts and collectors.
Nevertheless, the watch does not forget that it is tailored for maritime adventures. Given a practical rating in water resistance, Corum's ceramic models have been rigourously tested and certified to withstand depths of up to 50 metres, essentially making it ideal for the challenges of seafaring.

Graffiti can be a beautiful form of artistic expression. This is even more so when one comes across the colourful graffiti found across the world in bustling seaports. It is in these environments where the artform shines. In any event, while graffiti&rsquo;s presence in the world of horology remains experimental, Corum has taken the courageous step to include the culture and expressive spirit of the art to two new additions in the Admiral 42 family.
The first of these is the Admiral 42 "TAG" (A395/04461) which comes in an exclusive limited edition of just 50 pieces. The timepiece exudes a stealthy, all-black aesthetic. It features a sand-blasted ceramic case and an equally stylish black NATO strap. Come night, the real enchantment of the Corum &ldquo;TAG&rdquo; edition emerges. During times of low light, the discreetly placed Corum TAG logo on the dial reveals itself in luminescent splendour. When daylight returns, the logo once again remains invisible. No doubt, the watch has been designed to appeal to those with a love of nocturnal activities.
The second model (A395/04462) in this collection, takes shape from white ceramic. It is a more daring approach to design as its indices and hands are brightly adorned with multicoloured paint. Inspiring and artistic, the watch becomes a canvas for creativity and is a testament to Corum's dedication to pushing beyond the boundaries of traditional watchmaking. The splotches of paint successfully embrace the imperfections of art and makes the watch a whimsical and eye-catching statement piece.

Within the ceramic cases of these exceptional timepieces lies the precision of the Corum automatic C0 395 calibre. It offers an impressive 40 hours of power reserve. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, this watch maintains timekeeping with great reliability and accuracy. As a bonus, the sapphire crystal case back offers a lovely glimpse into the intricate movement.
As we move into the realm of high-end watchmaking, ceramic has grown to be a star performer, delivering a plethora of advantages. Not only does it lend a striking aesthetic appeal to the Corum Admiral with its enduring black and white hues, but it also exudes a charming warmth. Typically crafted from the fusion of aluminium oxide (Al2O3) and zirconium oxide (ZrO2), ceramic is significantly lighter (approximately 20-25%) than the industry-standard 316L steel alloy normally found in watches. Additionally, its high hardness rating makes it exceptionally scratch-resistant and resistant to oxidation.
